Further information

Yeoford Foundation Stage Unit (The Squirrels) takes children from the age of 3 and is an integral part of Yeoford Primary School which manages the Foundation Unit. The Foundation Stage Unit itself has a dedicated team of staff who will do a fantastic job of caring for and nurturing the children. They are part of a team who work closely with Hedgehog Class staff to ensure all children enjoy learning, playing and exploring together. There are both indoor and outdoor areas accessible at all times and the children will also use the school field and the local park and village hall for play and learning.

The children will take part in a wide variety of activities, particularly music, cooking and messy play. We plan to ensure that all children are extremely happy during their time at Squirrels and that their learning development progresses well during their time here.

The Foundation Unit will run from 9.00am - 3.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during term time.  Morning sessions run from 9.00am - 12.00pm and afternoon sessions run from 1.00pm - 3.30pm with additional lunchtimes available alongside either a morning or afternoon session. We welcome visitors at any time.

Dear Parent / Carer

Thank you for your interest in Yeoford Primary’s Foundation Stage Unit – The Squirrels!

I would like to draw your attention to the Devon Citizens Portal which I would strongly recommend that you visit and register for as soon as possible.

Through the site you can log yours and your child/ren’s details and have instant access to services such as admissions, free school meals and additional funding.  Some of these may not be applicable to you now but, in future, you will need to apply for their primary and secondary school places.

You may be unsure if you are applicable for free school meals and this is a very easy way to find out, with an instant decision given either way.

The link to access the portal is: https://oneonline.devon.gov.uk/CCSCitizenPortal_LIVE/

If you are unable to access it easily, or would just like me to go through it with you, please pop in and see me.  I’m happy to help you with it as it’s really useful.  The same goes for any other paperwork regarding your application to the Foundation Unit, I’m here to help!
